The 2025 PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) has kicked off, marking the first international PUBG Mobile Esports event of the year. Over 90,000 competitors have registered to participate in the Open Qualifiers, which began on February 13th. This stage offers a golden opportunity for new talent to showcase their skills and vie for a coveted spot in the PMGO Main Event.
With an impressive $500,000 prize pool up for grabs, the stakes are high. Teams must navigate through multiple rounds to earn their place, facing off against other aspiring squads. As an amateur-only tournament, the PMGO ensures that emerging talent has a platform to shine.
Teams that include at least one player ranked in the Ultimate 500 from Cycle 7 Season 20 or 21 have already secured a spot in Round 2 of the Open Qualifiers. Over the coming weeks, these emerging teams will battle it out for a chance to advance to the PMGO Prelims, where they'll compete against the top teams from the Uzbekistan Offline Qualifiers.
From the Prelims, twelve teams will earn the opportunity to challenge PUBG Mobile's elite in the PMGO Main Event. Four professional teams—Regnum Carya, Nigma Galaxy, 4Merical Vibes, and Influence Rage—have already secured their spots based on their performances at the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2024. An additional four teams will join from regional competitions, including the PMSL SEA Spring, PMGO Korea Qualifier, and the Peacekeeper Elite League Spring season.
The Open Qualifiers will continue until March 2nd, followed by the Prelims on April 10th-11th, leading into the Main Event scheduled for April 12th-13th. This tournament heralds the start of an action-packed year for PUBG Mobile Esports, with the PUBG Mobile World Cup and the PMGC slated to return later in 2025.
