Nintendo Today App Unveiled as News and Content Hub for Dedicated Fans

Author : Hannah Apr 03,2025

Nintendo Today is a fresh app from the creators of Super Mario Bros., designed to deliver Nintendo news straight to fans in a more direct and engaging way than ever before. Announced by video game legend Shigeru Miyamoto during the March 2025 Nintendo Direct, this innovative app is now available for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play, offering a plethora of exciting features for avid Nintendo enthusiasts.

Serving as a comprehensive hub, Nintendo Today functions as a daily calendar and news platform, providing fans with a steady stream of updates. Following the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 Direct next week, users can log into the app to access all the latest news, with Miyamoto promising "daily" updates to keep the community informed and engaged.

The app goes beyond traditional news delivery, offering a more personalized experience. As you open the app each day, you'll be greeted by beloved characters from the Nintendo universe, such as Mario, Pikmin, and Animal Crossing residents, making your daily check-ins feel more like a warm welcome. The content feed will be enriched not only with news but also with exclusive Nintendo-themed content, including a Pikmin 4 comic titled "Too Stuck to Pluck" and insightful "Pearls of Wisdom" from Animal Crossing's Pascal.

While Nintendo Today may not be the blockbuster announcement some were hoping for, like a new Zelda or Super Smash Bros. title, it's a valuable new channel for fans to stay connected with the world of Nintendo. For more details on Metroid, Pokémon, and other exciting announcements from the March 2025 Nintendo Direct, you can find more information here.
