The much-anticipated Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 faces yet another delay, with a new release window set for October 2025. This news comes directly from the game's official Twitter (X) account, which shared the announcement on March 26, along with a video update detailing the current development status.
In the video, Executive Producer Marco Behrmann provided insights into the game's progress, stating, "The status of the game right now is that the game is done. We are currently working on bug fixing, stability, and performance so we can deliver the best experience to you guys once it releases." This focus on refining the game underscores Paradox's commitment to delivering a polished product.
Over the past few months, Paradox has been keeping fans engaged through Dev Diaries, offering glimpses into the game's characters, stories, and mechanics. However, to prioritize the game's final stages of development, all Dev Diaries will be paused until further notice.
Originally revealed in March 2019 with a planned release in March 2020, Bloodlines 2 has faced numerous delays. Initially developed by Hardsuit Labs, the project saw significant changes when multiple leads departed. In February 2021, Paradox Interactive announced that Hardsuit Labs would no longer be involved, and development was handed over to The Chinese Room. The game's release has been pushed back several times—from an undisclosed date in 2020 to 2021, then late 2024, and the first half of 2025, before settling on the current late 2025 timeline.
Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is now slated for release in October 2025 across multiple platforms, including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
