A recent leak from Genshin Impact's beta servers has shed light on the locations of Nasha Town and Nod-Krai, both slated to debut in Version 6.0. While the current focus remains on Natlan, placeholders for Snezhnaya, the long-awaited Cryo Nation ruled by the Tsaritsa, are gradually being integrated into the beta builds. Snezhnaya is poised to be the largest region in Teyvat, surpassing even Sumeru and Liyue, extending from Natlan to the west and encompassing the entirety of Fontaine to the north.
Earlier leaks suggested that Nod-Krai might be its own separate region in Genshin Impact's Version 6.0. However, recent datamining has confirmed its precise location. As an autonomous province of Snezhnaya, Nod-Krai acts as a crucial trade hub, linking the Cryo Nation with the rest of Teyvat. According to Liben, Nod-Krai is situated at the southernmost tip of Snezhnaya, and it is likely that the Traveler and Paimon will enter this province from either Fontaine or Natlan.
Leakflow and Extra, along with footage from The_Strifemaster, have revealed that the latest beta build for Version 5.4 includes a placeholder landmass just beneath Fontaine's western waterfalls. This landmass appears to connect to Mont Esus, which has long been rumored as a potential expansion area for Fontaine in Genshin Impact. Although this doesn't confirm the release timeline for Mont Esus, it seems to indicate that all paths lead to Nasha Town and Nod-Krai.
Genshin Impact: What is Nod-Krai?
Nod-Krai serves as both a region and a city on Snezhnaya's southern border. While the Voynich Guild maintains some semblance of order, Nod-Krai is known for its lawlessness. A stronghold of the Fatui, led by the infamous Fatui Harbinger Dottore, is located here. Nasha Town is a significant settlement within the province, and the people of Nod-Krai are believed to possess a power that predates Teyvat's seven Elements.
Dividing Snezhnaya into multiple regions might be a contentious decision, but it's necessary given the region's vast size, which would be challenging to develop and narrate in a single year. As Version 5.3 concludes the Archon Quest in Natlan, the subsequent updates are expected to gradually introduce elements of Snezhnaya. While the fate of Capitano remains uncertain, Natlan will introduce Skirk as a playable character, who is linked to one of the Five Sinners of Khaenri'ah. Assuming there are no delays, Version 6.0 is projected to launch on September 10, 2025.
