Artifact Detectors in Stalker 2: A Comprehensive Guide
This guide details the four artifact detectors available in Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl, explaining their functionality and acquisition methods. Artifacts significantly enhance Skif's stats, making artifact detectors crucial for gameplay.
Echo Detector: The Standard Issue
The Echo Detector is your starting equipment. This small, yellow device uses a central light tube that pulses, indicating proximity to an artifact. The intensity of the pulsing and beeping increases as you approach the artifact, but pinpointing its exact location can be time-consuming.
Bear Detector: An Enhanced Experience
Acquired either during the "A Sign of Hope" side mission or from a vendor, the Bear Detector improves upon the Echo Detector by providing a visual distance indicator. Concentric rings around the display illuminate, progressively lighting up as you get closer to the artifact. Full illumination signals you've reached the artifact's spawn point.
Hilka Detector: Precision Locating
Obtained during the "Mysterious Case" side mission from Sultan, the Hilka Detector offers a more precise approach. It displays numerical values representing distance to the artifact. Decreasing numbers indicate closer proximity.
Veles Detector: The Pinnacle of Artifact Detection
The Veles Detector, earned by completing the main mission "In Search of Past Glory," is the most advanced detector. Its radar display pinpoints the artifact's location within the anomalous field and also highlights nearby hazardous anomalies, enhancing safety and efficiency.
