Revealed a year ago and built using Unreal Engine 5, Smite 2 boasts significant improvements over its predecessor. Expect refined visuals, enhanced combat mechanics, and a revamped item shop offering greater item diversity regardless of god choice. Gameplay retains the core Smite experience: players choose gods from various mythologies to engage in 5v5 battles, vying for map control and ultimately, victory. Following a successful closed alpha, the game is now open to all players.
Starting January 14th, players can download Smite 2's open beta for free. This update introduces Aladdin, a completely new god designed specifically for Smite 2. Utilizing his unique abilities, Aladdin can traverse walls and even revive after death thanks to his companion's three wishes. His ultimate ability involves capturing enemies within his lamp, forcing a thrilling 1v1 duel.

Titan Forge Games' creative director has stated that Smite 2 is demonstrably superior to its predecessor in many aspects. The team expressed gratitude for player feedback gathered during the closed alpha, and promised ambitious new content for Smite 2 throughout 2025.
While available on most major platforms, Smite 2 is currently absent from the Nintendo Switch.
