Early in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, you'll encounter branching side quests in Tachov and Zhelejov, requiring you to choose between aiding Prochek or Olbram. This guide clarifies whether you can help both and which choice is ultimately more beneficial.
Can You Help Both Prochek and Olbram in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*?
The inhabitants of Tachov and Zhelejov are locked in a bitter feud. Fortunately, you can complete most quests for both Prochek and Olbram with careful planning. This approach reveals more of the game's backstory and lore. While a completely satisfactory outcome for both sides isn't possible, exploring both questlines offers a richer experience.
Should You Choose Prochek or Olbram in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*?
If forced to choose, neither option significantly impacts the overall narrative. Both aim to sabotage the other, making the decision largely a matter of personal preference and which task appeals more.
Olbram's quest involves stealing the Zhelejov maypole, requiring nighttime stealth and potentially distracting a guard. Prochek's task demands painting Olbram's bull blue, necessitating acquiring dye from the tailor and a lullaby potion recipe from Radovan.
Prochek's quest might prove slightly more challenging early in the game, particularly if your groschen are limited or your Speech skill is low, potentially making Olbram's quest easier to complete initially. Regardless of your choice, both questlines are detailed below.
How to Start "Mice" for Prochek in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*
Initiate the "Mice" quest by speaking with Prochek in Tachov. If you can't locate him, inquire at the local inn.
Acquiring the Dye and Lullaby Potion

After speaking with Prochek, travel to Troskowitz and purchase dye from Bartoshek the tailor.
To obtain the lullaby potion, either work as a blacksmith apprentice for Radovan in Tachov or persuade him to provide the recipe. The recipe requires oil, poppy, and thistle, which can be harvested from the garden outside the Troskowitz apothecary.
Once brewed, proceed to Zhelejov, pour the potion into the bull's trough, and paint the bull once it falls asleep. Return to Prochek to complete this stage of the quest. You can then choose to speak with Olbram to begin his quest, "Frogs," and initiate his counter-sabotage.
How to Start "Frogs" for Olbram in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*
Find Old Olbram near the meadow in Zhelejov and agree to steal the Tachov maypole to begin "Frogs."
Stealing the Maypole
Travel to Tachov in the evening and approach the maypole cautiously. Henrik guards it. You can either knock him out or, with sufficient Speech skill, persuade him to leave his post. Charm Henrik by inquiring about Manka, arranging a secret rendezvous for them, and informing Manka at the inn. Once Henrik departs, climb the maypole and cut it down.
Return to Olbram to report your success. He'll then task you with chasing sheep from a Tachov pasture and delivering a digestive potion to Alshik. At this point, you can either continue or inform Prochek of Olbram's plan, concluding both quests.
