Slaying monsters is only half the battle in Monster Hunter Wilds. Crafting powerful armor and weapons requires gathering materials, and Lightcrystals are a key ingredient. This guide details how to farm Lightcrystals and what you can craft with them.
Monster Hunter Wilds Lightcrystal Farming Locations
Lightcrystals are found by mining Mining Outcrops throughout Monster Hunter Wilds. The drop rate is random, so be patient! Here are locations with Mining Outcrops:
- Windward Plains: Areas 1, 2, 3, 7, 9, 10, 17
- Oilwell Basin: Areas 4, 6, 7
- Iceshard Cliffs: Areas 8, 16
- Ruins of Wyveria: Area 5
Mining Outcrops respawn in approximately 15-20 minutes. Explore different areas to maximize your farming efficiency.

Keep in mind that many of these items (excluding the Thunder Charm) may become obsolete relatively quickly, so don't be afraid to upgrade as you progress.
