Ubisoft Mainz has recently shared exciting new details about their upcoming game, Anno 117: Pax Romana, via an engaging new trailer. Initially, the game was set to explore two distinct regions: Lazio and Albion. However, the latest preview suggests that Lazio serves as the initial setting before players are thrust into the primary locale of Albion.
Creative Director Manuel Rainer explains that Lazio starts off as a tranquil region, but an unexpected disaster forces players to venture into uncharted territories. These territories are none other than Britain, referred to as Albion in the game, which is known for its harsh climate, rebellious tribes, and its significant distance from Rome, all of which pose unique challenges in governance.
In Anno 117: Pax Romana, players take on the role of a governor, tasked with navigating these challenges without relying solely on force. Instead, players are encouraged to build harmony by respecting and integrating local customs. One of the game's standout features is the ability to customize ships strategically—players can opt for increased speed with oarsmen or enhance their firepower with onboard archery turrets.
Anno 117: Pax Romana is set to launch in 2025 and will be available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S/X platforms. This eagerly awaited addition to the Anno series promises to blend strategic gameplay with rich historical settings, offering players a unique experience in managing and expanding their empire.
