How To Beat The Lord Of Eroded Primal Fire In Genshin Impact
As the Natlan Archon Quest in Genshin Impact nears its conclusion, players are uncovering intriguing lore and facing new challenges. Among these challenges are the weekly bosses unique to each nation, with the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire standing out as particularly formidable. This colossal dual-sworded Dragon, a symbol of the ancient ruler of Natlan, embodies the menacing essence of the Abyss. Its mechanics, similar to the Riftwolves from Inazuma, introduce the Corrosion effect, making the battle intense but not insurmountable. Here’s a comprehensive guide on how to conquer the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire in Genshin Impact.
Where To Find The Lord Of Eroded Primal Fire In Genshin Impact
The Lord of Eroded Primal Fire awaits at the Stone Stele Records domain, located just south of the Statue of Seven near the Masters of the Night-Wind tribe. This domain is housed within a shrine commemorating those lost in the Natlan battle. To access the domain and claim the usual rewards using 30 Original Resin for the first three weekly Bosses, players must complete the final chapter of the Archon Quest: When All Becomes A Monument. Alternatively, players can bypass the story completion and use the Quick Challenge option in the Adventurer’s Handbook.
How To Beat The Lord Of Eroded Primal Fire In Genshin Impact
Defeating the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire can be challenging, especially without the regional characters from Natlan such as Mavuika, Kinich, Citlali, and Mualani. Although the Dragon remains relatively stationary, it will summon three Pillars and three Tenebrous Mimiflora during the fight, which can be more effectively dealt with using characters equipped with Nightsoul Blessings.
Make Sure To Destroy The Three Pillars With Nightsoul Blessing
While it's possible to use other characters to destroy the summoned Pillars, doing so will significantly prolong the process. Using characters like Mavuika, Citlali, Kinich, or Kachina will expedite the destruction of the Pillars' shields, allowing you to quickly avert the Dragon's Eroded Meteor strike. Destroying the Pillars will immobilize the Dragon for about 10 seconds, providing a brief window to deal damage before it recovers.
However, if the Pillars aren't destroyed in time, the meteor attack will commence. Ensure you're equipped with a shield and switch to your healer to withstand the attack, as the Corrosion status can bypass shields and inflict substantial damage. Even with full HP, an unshielded player can be one-shot. Effective healers like Furina and Kokomi are ideal, but Kuki, Barbara, and Bennett are viable alternatives.
Try Your Best To Dodge Or Stay Underneath The Dragon
Navigating the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire's attacks can be tricky due to their unpredictability. The Dragon often turns into smoke and moves erratically around the arena, making it challenging to anticipate its next move. Its primary attacks, sword slashes and smashes, can drastically reduce the battlefield area, complicating evasion.
If the battlefield is severely reduced, staying close to the Dragon and attacking from underneath can be effective. Be cautious, as you'll need constant healing to counter the Corrosion effect from its Eroded Dragon Breath attack. This attack involves the Dragon impaling both swords into the ground, causing Pyro and Erosion damage. Ensure you're well-shielded and healed; if necessary, retreat to safer areas near the Dragon's hands, where the Dragon Breath doesn't reach. Immediate healing is crucial to counteract the Erosion effect from sword slashes.
A healer is indispensable for this fight, so choose one wisely.
Co-Op Mode and Matching
Even without Natlan characters, Co-Op Mode can significantly ease the battle. Additional players with Nightsoul Blessing characters can greatly assist during the Pillar phase. Simply click the 'Match' button upon entering the Domain to join another player's world and tackle the Boss more effectively.
Fortunately, unlike some previous Weekly Bosses, the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire doesn't have multiple phases, but it still demands a considerable amount of time and strategy to overcome.
