CrazyGames is set to launch its exciting Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 this week, running from April 25th to May 5th. In partnership with Photon, the world's leading multiplayer service provider, this 10-day event invites indie developers from around the globe to participate in a thrilling game development marathon focused on creating innovative web-based multiplayer games.
Participants in the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 have the chance to win a share of €10,000 in cash prizes, along with premium Photon licenses. The prizes include:
- 500 CCU with Circle Starter for a year (€7,500 value)
- 500 CCU for a year (€1,500 value)
- 100 CCU for a year (€100 value)
The event's rules are straightforward: games must be developed and submitted within the jam period and must adhere to PEGI 12 rating standards. Beyond these guidelines, developers are encouraged to unleash their creativity and explore new ideas in multiplayer game development.
Since its inception in 2014, CrazyGames has become the go-to platform for free online gaming, leveraging technologies like HTML5, JavaScript, and WebGI to offer seamless browser-based gaming experiences for thousands of titles. During the jam, CrazyGames will provide support to participants and offer the chance for winning games to be featured on their platform.
To kick things off, a pre-jam livestream will take place on April 24th at 4 pm CEST on YouTube and LinkedIn. This session will introduce two new WebGL platforms, Fusion and Quantum. Mark Val, Head of Growth at Photon Engine, commented, "Photon has supported multiplayer WebGL for over a decade, and our new Fusion and Quantum samples let you create high-performant multiplayer games easily. We believe a WebGL game will be in the top 20 of the world’s most visited websites in the coming year, and the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is a good opportunity for everyone to innovate on the platform."
Registration for the Crazy Web Multiplayer Jam 2025 is free and open to game developers of all experience levels. For more information and to register, visit the official jam page.
