Marvel Rivals Season 1: A Double-Sized Debut

Get ready for a massive start to Marvel Rivals! Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, launching January 10th at 1 AM PST, boasts double the content of a typical season. This expanded offering is a direct result of the developers' decision to introduce the Fantastic Four as a unified group, leading to a richer, more extensive gameplay experience.

Expect three new maps based on iconic New York City locations:

  • Sanctum Sanctorum: Launching alongside Season 1, this map sets the stage for the new Doom Match game mode.
  • Midtown: Prepare for intense Convoy missions through the bustling city streets.
  • Central Park: Details remain scarce, but more information is promised closer to the mid-season update.

The initial launch will feature Mister Fantastic (Duelist) and Invisible Woman (Strategist). The Thing and Human Torch will join the fray approximately six to seven weeks later in the mid-season update. While this season is significantly larger, NetEase Games hasn't clarified how this will affect future content releases. The current expectation remains the addition of two new heroes or villains per season.

Despite the excitement surrounding Season 1, the absence of Blade has disappointed some fans. While his inclusion was rumored, his potential appearance remains open for future seasons. With a wealth of new content and ongoing speculation, the future of Marvel Rivals looks incredibly promising.
