Final Fantasy VII Rebirth PC Specs Demand High-End Hardware for 4K
Square Enix has released updated PC specifications for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, highlighting the need for powerful hardware, especially for 4K resolution. Two weeks ahead of the PC launch, the updated requirements emphasize the need for high-end graphics cards with 12-16GB VRAM for optimal 4K gameplay.
The game will leverage DLSS upscaling, Shader Model 6.6 support, and DirectX 12 Ultimate. This follows a PS5 Pro enhancement patch released in November, optimizing the game for Sony's upgraded console. Unlike Final Fantasy VII Remake, however, Rebirth will not receive any DLC at launch; Square Enix is focusing on Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3.
Square Enix clarified previous specifications, recommending 12-16GB of VRAM for 4K resolution. Minimum requirements remain consistent with previously announced specs, including a 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 OS, 155GB SSD storage, and 16GB RAM. Recommended CPU options include the Ryzen 5 5600 or higher, while GPU requirements start at an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or equivalent (with AMD Radeon RX 6600 or higher also supported). Note that 16GB VRAM is strongly recommended for 4K.
