Fabled Game Studio's highly anticipated sequel, Pirates Outlaws 2: Heritage, is set to launch in 2025 on Android, iOS, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. This roguelike deck-builder builds upon the success of its 2019 predecessor, adding exciting new features. An open beta test is currently underway on Steam (October 25th-31st), with mobile releases following later.
What's New in Pirates Outlaws 2?
Prepare to embark on a new adventure with a fresh hero, whose story unfolds years after the original Pirates Outlaws. This hero starts with unique pre-built decks and abilities. The sequel introduces companions, each contributing their own special cards, and a new card fusion mechanic – combine three identical cards to create a more powerful one.
Deck progression is enhanced with an evolution tree, allowing for customized upgrades. Previously discarded cards now hold potential for improvement. Relic acquisition has been revamped; they're now found in markets, after boss battles, or during special events, rather than after every encounter.
Combat features a new Countdown system influencing enemy actions, replacing the "End Turn" button with a "ReDraw" mechanic. A new armor and shield system adds another layer of strategic depth.
