The quest "In Vino Veritas" begins with Casper Rudolf, whom you'll find by his drink cart on the east side of Kuttenberg City. Just enter through the east gate and head straight to bump into him. Casper is curious about the secret behind the monks' superior wine, but you'll need to take a few steps to uncover it. Make sure to exhaust all dialogue options with Casper to learn about Havel and the book he left with Adleta, which will guide your approach to impressing Havel.

To obtain the book from Adleta, head to the southeast corner of Kuttenberg's inner wall during the morning or afternoon. You'll find an open garden where Adleta often hangs out. Before you go, pick five Marigolds. Try to reach Adleta before her brother Hugo arrives, or if you encounter Hugo first, get his permission to speak with her. Be kind during your conversation with Adleta, explaining that you need the book for Casper. You can either pass a skill check to persuade her to hand it over or gift her the Marigolds in exchange for the book. Once you have it, read the book from your inventory.

Alternatively, you can skip Adleta and go directly to Havel at his inn in Kuttenberg City. Ensure your Charisma is at least 18 by wearing the right outfit and brushing up on your drinking skills. When speaking to Havel, choose the following dialogue options:

  • Germany. Let’s do it.
  • That’s a very fine gift.
  • Steinberger.
  • It’s missing ginger.

These choices will impress Havel, leading him to reveal the monastery's secret ingredient. Return to Casper with this information.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Straw Hat Vineyard

Next, head to the vineyard north of Kuttenberg and speak with the recruiter to start the "Under the Straw Hat" side quest. Although completing this side quest isn't necessary, starting it allows you to explore the vineyard without being considered a trespasser. Inside, find Jerome, usually sitting on a bench near the main building.

Sneak into the main building, turn left, and enter the storeroom. Use your lockpicking skills to open the chests and retrieve the Sulphur Wicks, which are essential for Casper. For extra Groschen, visit the garden behind the main building and take five seedlings before you leave.

If you decide to complete "Under the Straw Hat," engage in tasks like removing plants around the vines and moving sacks. After completing enough work, report back to Jerome to finish the side quest and earn some Groschen. Otherwise, return to Casper with the Sulphur Wicks and any seedlings you collected.

With that, you'll have successfully completed "In Vino Veritas," allowing you to move on to other quests in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 or spend time collecting badges and dice.
