It's possible Brian Herbert will write more Dune books, but the massive success of the *Dune* and *Dune Part 2* movies means we'll certainly be seeing more of the sand planet on screen.
*Dune: Prophecy* is now streaming on Max. The HBO series explores the founding of the Bene Gesserit, so it may take inspiration from the "Sisterhood of Dune" book on this list. Meanwhile, Denis Villeneuve is moving on to a third and, potentially, final movie in his Dune series. His adaptation of *Dune Messiah* is rumored to come out in late 2026.
In case you didn't know, there's also a new video game based on Dune. Funcom is currently developing an open-world survival MMO called *Dune: Awakening*—and they're making sure they do the sandstorms right. It's due out in early 2025 on PC, with PlayStation and Xbox release dates TBA.
