The Chainsaw Man movie was announced in December 2023 and serves as a direct sequel to the MAPPA-produced anime that debuted in 2022. The story follows Denji, a young man who gains a new lease on life by making a pact with a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita. This pact allows Denji to transform, sprouting chainsaws from his limbs and head, propelling him from a mere human to the formidable Chainsaw Man.
Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc introduces the character Reze, a significant figure from the original manga. The film is directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara and written by Hiroshi Seko. The entire voice cast from the anime series will return to reprise their roles, ensuring a seamless continuation of the story.
