Brok the Investigator is getting a Christmas-themed standalone release you can play now

Author : Matthew Mar 22,2025

Brok the InvestiGator, the action-adventure game starring a certain reptilian detective, is getting a festive twist! A free, hour-long visual novel spin-off, Brok Natal Tail Christmas, is hitting the scene as a prequel to the main game. Forget the beat 'em up action; this one's all about heartwarming Christmas cheer (or rather, Natal Untail cheer, a slightly twisted version celebrated in Atlasia).

Follow Graff and Ott as they navigate a corrupted Christmas celebration, finding true holiday spirit with a little help from Brok himself. While not a full-fledged game, this standalone adventure offers a unique genre shift and showcases Cowcat's new Brokvn Engine.

Considering it's free and offers a charming Christmas story, it's hard to fault Brok Natal Tail Christmas's short playtime. Cowcat's willingness to experiment with a new genre is commendable. There's little risk involved – unless, of course, you're completely averse to visual novels. If you're open to a different kind of festive fun, dive in!
