The Dark Knight's reign in the video game world was once unchallenged. A new Batman game seemed to drop almost annually, with Rocksteady's acclaimed Arkham series arguably defining a new golden age for superhero gaming.
But the Caped Crusader's game appearances have dwindled in recent years. A true, standalone Batman adventure hasn't graced our screens since 2017's The Enemy Within, and there's currently no sign of that changing soon. While comic fans eagerly anticipate upcoming superhero titles, anyone craving to don the cowl will have to delve into the back catalog for the best Batman games.
