Adin Ross Remains Committed to Kick with "Bigger" Plans on the Horizon
Popular streamer Adin Ross has confirmed his long-term commitment to the Kick streaming platform, putting to rest rumors of his departure. Ross's unexpected absence from Kick earlier in 2024 sparked speculation about a potential move, but his recent return with a new livestream alongside fellow creators Cuffem, Shaggy, and Konvy, on the weekend of January 4th, 2025, marked a decisive shift. This marked his first stream in 74 days.
Ross, known for his significant presence and sometimes controversial content, initially joined Kick after a permanent ban from Twitch in 2023. His move, along with other prominent streamers like xQc, played a crucial role in Kick's rapid growth. While he enjoyed considerable success on the platform in 2023, his sudden departure in 2024 fueled rumors, including speculation of a rift with Kick CEO Ed Craven. However, a December 21, 2024 livestream with Craven confirmed Ross's intention to remain on Kick. He further solidified this commitment in a recent tweet, assuring fans that his return is permanent.
Beyond his renewed allegiance to Kick, Ross hinted at "something even bigger" in the works. While specifics remain undisclosed, many believe this refers to his Brand Risk boxing events, a project he intends to expand with Kick's support. Given past legal challenges with Misfits Boxing earlier in 2024 related to unsanctioned events, future Brand Risk endeavors will undoubtedly be watched closely.
Ross's decision provides a significant boost to both his fanbase and Kick itself. The platform, fueled by partnerships with high-profile streamers, continues its ambitious growth trajectory. As Kick co-founder Bijan Tehrani recently stated, their ultimate goal is to surpass or acquire Twitch—an ambitious but not entirely unrealistic target, considering their current momentum.
