Among Us 3D: A First-Person Perspective Without the VR Headset
Innersloth, the creators of the wildly popular Among Us, are building on their success with a brand-new 3D iteration of the game. Following the acclaimed 2022 VR release, Among Us 3D offers a fully immersive first-person experience without requiring a VR headset.
The core gameplay remains intact, but reimagined for standard gaming setups. A recently released teaser trailer hints at the enhanced visuals of tasks, emergency meetings, and sabotage, all viewed from the player's character perspective. Gamers can get a sneak peek during Steam's upcoming "Game On" festival with a free playable demo.
While a precise release date is yet to be revealed, Among Us 3D will launch on PC initially. The game will be optimized for keyboard and mouse controls, featuring a redesigned interface for improved usability. Excitingly, cross-play will be enabled, allowing players of Among Us 3D to connect with those playing Among Us VR. The original Among Us will remain a separate experience.
To further enhance customization, Innersloth will introduce a new in-game currency, Stardust, in the coming months. This will provide players with expanded options to personalize their avatars, contributing to the game's continued growth and development.
