The Guardians of the Road project has been revitalized with a new application, boasting a significantly improved and more user-friendly experience.
Join the Road Guard project and help save lives!
Launched in 2016, the "Guardians of the Road – the road of all of us" project aims to raise awareness and deter unsafe driving practices. As of January 1, 2023, the project is managed by the Safe Path association.
Any citizen over 18 can download the "Road Guards" app and begin documenting traffic violations.
Using the app is quick and easy. Activate the app before driving, and when you witness a violation, engage the reporting feature. Reporting can be initiated via voice command or by pressing a Bluetooth button on your steering wheel. The app will automatically begin recording video and audio documentation of the offense.
This documentation is transmitted to a control center staffed by volunteer controllers with extensive traffic safety experience. Following review, a "letter on the way" is sent to the documented driver, including a link to the recorded violation. In cases involving life-threatening offenses, the report is immediately forwarded to the police for further investigation.
