Zenless Zone Zero Tier List: December 24, 2024

HoYoverse's Zenless Zone Zero (ZZZ) boasts a diverse cast of characters, each with unique mechanics and synergy potential. This tier list ranks all 1.0 characters, reflecting the current meta as of December 24, 2024. Remember, tier lists are fluid and subject to change with new content and balance updates.

Note: Grace, a previously top-tier Anomaly character, has decreased in relevance due to the introduction of numerous powerful Anomaly units. Miyabi's overwhelming strength significantly impacts the overall ranking.

S-Tier

S-Tier Agents S-Tier agents consistently excel in their roles and synergize effectively with others.

  • Miyabi: Exceptional Frost damage dealer with high potential, though requiring strategic play.
  • Jane Doe: A superior version of Piper, boasting significantly higher Assault Anomaly damage.
  • Yanagi: Excels at triggering Disorder, ideal for pairing with Anomaly units like Miyabi.
  • Zhu Yuan: High-damage DPS with Shotshells, synergizing well with Stun and Support characters (especially Qingyi and Nicole).
  • Caesar: Exceptional defensive support, providing substantial buffs, debuffs, and crowd control.
  • Qingyi: A versatile Stunner, boosting damage significantly when enemies are stunned.
  • Lighter: Effective Stun Agent with notable buffs, particularly beneficial for Fire and Ice characters.
  • Lycaon: Ice Stunner who reduces enemy Ice resistance and increases ally Daze DMG, essential for Ice teams.
  • Ellen: High-damage Ice Attack Agent, synergizing exceptionally well with Lycaon and Soukaku.
  • Harumasa: (Formerly free) Electric Attack character with high damage potential given proper setup.
  • Soukaku: Provides significant Ice buffs, enhancing the performance of Ice units like Ellen and Lycaon.
  • Rina: Support character dealing considerable damage while granting PEN (defense ignore) to allies, particularly beneficial for Electric characters.

A-Tier

A-Tier Agents A-Tier agents are strong in specific team compositions but may lack the overall consistency of S-Tier.

  • Nicole: Ether Support that reduces enemy DEF and boosts Ether DMG, highly effective with AoE units.
  • Seth: Provides shielding and support, but less impactful than top-tier buffers like Caesar.
  • Lucy: Support unit with off-field damage and ATK buff, synergizing well with other characters.
  • Piper: Relies heavily on her EX Special Attack, effective in Anomaly-focused teams.
  • Grace: Still relevant for Anomaly builds, but less impactful compared to newer Anomaly agents.
  • Koleda: Reliable Fire/Stun character, synergizing well with other Fire units (especially Ben).
  • Anby: Reliable Stunner with quick combos but susceptible to interruption.
  • Soldier 11: High damage output with straightforward mechanics.

B-Tier

B-Tier Agents B-Tier agents have some utility but are outperformed by others in their roles.

  • Ben: Defensive character with parry mechanics, but limited team benefits outside of Crit Rate buff.
  • Nekomata: High AoE damage but reliant on team synergy and currently limited by available support.

C-Tier

C-Tier Agents C-Tier agents currently lack significant impact.

  • Corin: Physical damage dealer outperformed by other Physical Attack units.
  • Billy: High damage potential in quick-swap teams but limited overall damage output.
  • Anton: Electric Attack unit with interesting mechanics but low DPS and single-target focus.

This tier list provides a snapshot of the current meta. Future updates and character releases may significantly alter these rankings.
