Wicked Genshin Impact bug allows you to deal terrible, terrible damage to bosses

Genshin Impact players eagerly anticipating the 5.4 update can currently exploit a surprising game mechanic to effortlessly defeat even the toughest bosses. This unexpected strategy leverages the often-underestimated Hydro Traveler, a character many deem a weak DPS option.

The exploit's simplicity belies its effectiveness. It involves the Hydro Traveler's Elemental Burst and a readily available resource: Xiao Lanterns, obtainable during the Lantern Rite Festival. The key is strategically placing numerous Xiao Lanterns near a boss. Activating the Hydro Traveler's Elemental Burst then triggers a significant, unexpected reduction in the boss's health.

This amplified damage stems from the Elemental Burst's interaction with the lanterns, resulting in massive AoE damage. Deploying a large number of lanterns (around a hundred) can inflict millions of points of damage.

While this exploit is undoubtedly a temporary advantage, likely to be patched in a future update, it currently provides players with an easy path to victory in otherwise challenging boss encounters.
