Following the release of Dynasty Warriors: Origins, Koei Tecmo unleashes another exciting title, Warriors: Abyss, a fresh take on the musou genre. This new roguelite, featuring familiar faces from the Warriors series, is available now.

Showcased during today's PlayStation State of Play, Warriors: Abyss allows players to assemble a squad of iconic characters and battle through hordes of enemies. The isometric perspective evokes the styles of Diablo and Hades, creating a unique blend of action and strategic depth.

Gameplay footage revealed a team-based combat system against demonic forces from "hell," featuring characters like Zhou Yu, Nobunaga Oda, and Sun Shang Xiang.

PlayAccording to the PlayStation Blog, players can recruit and add characters to their team, unlocking additional summoning abilities. Battles support up to seven active heroes, with a launch roster of 100 warriors.

Koei Tecmo plans to expand the character roster with future updates, beginning with characters from the Jin kingdom in Dynasty Warriors. Further additions are teased, hinting at the possibility of characters from outside the Warriors franchise.

Warriors: Abyss is currently available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. A Nintendo Switch release is slated for February 13, 2025. Players interested in the in-game Dynasty Warriors Costume Set should purchase the game before March 14, 2025.
