World of Warcraft Has Good News for Players Who Forgot to Spend Their Anniversary Event Currency

World of Warcraft's Patch 11.1 will automatically convert leftover Bronze Celebration Tokens into Timewarped Badges. This conversion, at a rate of 1 Bronze Celebration Token to 20 Timewarped Badges, will occur upon players' first login after the patch's release.

The 20th-anniversary event, concluding January 7th, offered players numerous Bronze Celebration Tokens used for purchasing Tier 2 sets and anniversary items. Any remaining tokens will now be converted, preventing unused currency from cluttering player inventories. Blizzard confirmed these tokens will not be used again.

This automatic conversion is a convenience for players who may have overlooked spending their tokens before the event's end. The conversion ratio mirrors the exchange rate offered during the event itself.

While a specific release date for Patch 11.1 remains unannounced, February 25th is a strong possibility, aligning with Blizzard's recent release pattern and considering the ongoing in-game events. This means the conversion will likely occur after the current Turbulent Timeways event concludes. Timewarped Badges, the converted currency, can be used in future Timewalking events, ensuring their continued value.

Key Points:

  • Automatic Conversion: Unused Bronze Celebration Tokens will automatically convert to Timewarped Badges (20:1 ratio).
  • Timing: Conversion happens on first login after Patch 11.1 release (likely around February 25th).
  • No Future Use: Bronze Celebration Tokens will not be used in future events.
  • Timewarped Badge Value: Timewarped Badges remain usable in future Timewalking events.
