New Warbands Camp in World of Warcraft Expansion

World of Warcraft Patch 11.1 introduces customizable character selection screen backgrounds: collectible campsites! Four new campsites are initially available, with more promised in future updates.

This personalization feature expands on the Warbands system from World of Warcraft: The War Within. Patch 11.1 allows players to assign multiple, named campsites to their characters.

The new campsites, viewable and unlockable within the Collections pane, are:

  • Ohn'ahran Overlook: A centaur camp in the Ohn'ahran Plains. Unlocked automatically after logging in following Patch 11.1's release.

  • Freywold Spring: A hot spring in Freywold Village, Isle of Dorn. Unlocked by completing the "All That Khaz" meta-achievement from The War Within.

  • Cultists' Quay: Located in the Nightfall Sanctum Delve in Hallowfall. Earned through the Season 2 Delver's Journey.

  • Gallagio Grand Gallery: Gallywix's casino in Undermine. Unlocked by completing the "Racing to a Revolution" meta-achievement from Undermined.

The original Warbands campsite, Adventurer's Rest, remains the default option. Players can select their preferred campsite from a new tab on the character select screen, or even randomize their selection.

Blizzard plans to continue expanding this feature, adding campsites through new content, old zones, holiday events, the Trading Post, and potentially the in-game shop. Campsite acquisition joins the existing collection of mounts, pets, and other collectibles.
