The open beta for aircraft battles in War Thunder Mobile has officially launched, bringing intense aerial action to players courtesy of Gaijin Entertainment. This latest update lets you dive into the skies with over 100 planes from three nations, with more to come.
While War Thunder Mobile previously included aircraft in naval and ground support roles, the aircraft open beta introduces a comprehensive aerial tech tree and a dedicated air-focused mode, enhancing the gameplay experience significantly.
The Full Scoop on the Aircraft Open Beta of War Thunder Mobile!
Currently, the game showcases planes from the USA, Germany, and the USSR. You can pilot iconic aircraft such as the P-51 Mustang, Messerschmitt Bf 109, and the La-5. Excitingly, additional nations will be added in future updates.
You have the flexibility to focus on a single nation's tech tree or mix and match to progress through multiple. High-ranking and top-tier aircraft can be unlocked through blueprints earned in in-game events, with the first event scheduled for early October.
Upon entering the open beta, you'll gain access to the new Aviation campaign. This feature allows you to explore the aircraft hangar, research tech trees, and upgrade your crews, enhancing your overall gameplay.
You can form squadrons with up to four planes at once, customize your aircraft, and select different armaments. To get a better idea of what's in store, check out the trailer below!
A Bit More About the Rules
The aircraft hangar will be your hub between battles. Here, you can view your vehicles, choose camouflage, explore the tech tree, and invite friends to join your squad.
For each aircraft slot, you have three main options: swap out the vehicle, modify the armament, or upgrade the crew assigned to that slot. You can build a squadron with any available aircraft, regardless of class, nation, or rank.
With these exciting new features, there's a lot to explore. Download War Thunder Mobile from the Google Play Store and jump into the aircraft open beta test today.
