Unlocking Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren: A Guide to Obtaining This Epic World of Warcraft Mount

Obtaining the magnificent Stormcrow mount, Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren, is a rewarding endeavor in World of Warcraft's Siren's Call event within the War Within expansion. This guide details the steps to acquire this coveted flying mount. Note that this event is tied to the Seafury Tempest weather phase on Siren Isle.

Gathering the Runekeys:

The acquisition of Thrayir requires collecting five unique Runekeys:

  • Whirling Runekey: This key drops from Ksvir the Forgotten, a rare spawn located in the southernmost chamber of the Forgotten Vault. Ksvir only appears during the Storm phase.

  • Torrential Runekey: Collect seven Torrential Fragments from any enemy encountered on Siren Isle while a Storm is active.

  • Thunderous Runekey: Gather five Thunderous Fragments. These drop from chests across Siren Isle, regardless of the Storm's presence.

  • Cyclonic Runekey: This key is obtained through fishing in Siren Isle during a Storm or as a potential drop from Zek’ul the Shipbreaker in the Deadfin Mire.

  • Turbulent Runekey: Locate three Turbulent Fragments hidden in specific locations near Kul Tiran ghosts:

    • Behind the abandoned inn, dig in the garden.
    • Inside a cave in the Rotting Hole, where a ghost cowers.
    • Inside the Spirit-Scarred Cave, where a ghost offers the fragment.

The Final Ritual:

Once all five Runekeys are in your possession, return to the Forgotten Vault only during the Seafury Tempest phase. Entering the Vault during any other phase will not initiate the ritual. Proceed to the eastern chamber.

Inside, you'll find Thrayir's body on a platform with five runestone slots. Insert the corresponding Runekeys. This will trigger the quest, "Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren." Complete the quest to claim your magnificent new mount!
