New Tactical RPG Eldgear: Magic and Mystery Abound from KEMCO

KEMCO's newest tactical RPG, Eldgear, transports players to the fantasy world of Argenia, a land on the cusp of a magical revolution. Ancient, powerful technology is unearthed, sparking conflict between numerous nations vying for control. Amidst this turmoil, the global task force Eldia strives to maintain peace by controlling access to these potent artifacts.

Eldgear's Story:

Argenia, a realm teeming with hundreds of nations, finds itself in the throes of a new magical era following a devastating war. The discovery of technologically advanced ancient ruins fuels tensions, with nations aggressively seeking their power. Eldia, a central organization in the game's narrative, works to prevent another catastrophic conflict by studying and regulating access to these powerful relics.

Gameplay Mechanics:

Eldgear features a strategic, turn-based combat system. While battles are relatively straightforward, the game’s mechanics add depth. The EMA (Embedding Abilities) system allows equipping three abilities per unit, offering tactical flexibility through stat boosts, stealth maneuvers, or protective capabilities. The EXA (Expanding Abilities) system unlocks powerful attacks when Tension reaches its maximum during combat.

The mysterious GEAR machines play a significant role, some acting as guardians, others as formidable foes.

Availability and Considerations:

Eldgear is available now on the Google Play Store for $7.99, supporting both English and Japanese. Currently, the game lacks controller support, relying on touchscreen controls. Check out our other news on Pocket Necromancer for more gaming updates.
