Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Gets Final Major Content Update

Rocksteady Studios has released the final major content update for *Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League* with Season 4 Episode 8, marking the end of new content development for the live-service game. Released on January 14, 2025, this update is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Despite the game's initial lukewarm reception in February 2024, Rocksteady has decided to cease further support for the title just 10 months after its launch.

The unexpected shift to a live-service model is believed to have contributed to the game's quick decline. On December 9, 2024, Rocksteady announced that Season 4 Episode 8 would be the last, but reassured players that all online features would remain active, allowing continued multiplayer experiences.

After a brief period of server downtime, the servers for *Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League* are now back online, and players can dive into Season 4 Episode 8: Balance. This update introduces an Infamy Set inspired by the DC Super-Villain Libra, along with a range of powerful new Notorious weapons and a concluding Mayhem mission against Brainiac. Additionally, the patch includes significant bug fixes and gameplay adjustments, such as reduced XP requirements for Squad Levels, retroactively rewarding players for their previous efforts.

Even after the release of Season 4 Episode 8, the game's servers will continue to operate, and thanks to the offline mode introduced in Season 4 Episode 7, players can enjoy the game's content without an internet connection. While there's no planned server shutdown, the offline mode ensures that fans can still play if the servers are ever discontinued.

For those who missed out on *Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League* during its brief run, the game has been added to PlayStation Plus. Subscribers can claim it along with *The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe* and *Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered* until February 3.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Patch Notes for Season 4 Episode 8 Update

MEDIEVAL GENIUS

In Episode 8: Balance, players can explore more of the medieval Elseworld, featuring new twists on familiar locations and new areas like The Quarry, a fortified citadel. The Arena offers a venue for jousting or interdimensional warfare, with statues of King Jor-El and Queen Lara Lor-Van adding to the atmosphere of chivalry and honor.

LIBRA INFAMY SET

The Libra Infamy Set, inspired by the DC Super-Villain obsessed with balance, applies Scales of Libra stacks to enemies, increasing both damage dealt and received by 50% per stack. This set encourages a dynamic and risky playstyle.

NOTORIOUS WEAPONS

Complementing the Libra Infamy Set, The Silencer’s Complete Silence weapons offer 200% bonus damage to enemies affected by Scales of Libra, with the Alt-Fire creating a Silencer Zone for crowd control. Doctor Sivana’s Magic Bullets pierce through enemies, applying Scales of Libra and potentially electrifying them. Chronos’ Equilibrium boosts damage by 25% for every 1% of missing Shield, promoting a high-risk, high-reward approach.
