How To Find All Side Stories in Split Fiction
Throughout Chapters 2 through 5, you'll encounter 12 distinct Side Stories, with three in each chapter. These optional narratives are key to experiencing the full scope of *Split Fiction*. Here’s how to find each one:
- Legend of the Sandfish – This first Side Story is naturally encountered in Chapter 2 after completing the Rush Hour section. You can’t miss it.
- Farmlife – Found in Chapter 2’s Streets of Neon section. After hopping over a small barrier and before reaching the elevators on the left, you'll discover this Side Story.
- Mountain Hike – The last Side Story in Chapter 2, located in the Big City Life section. Once you reach the Port-A-Pottys, have Mio enter one, then use Zoe to throw her over to a ledge with a small ladder. Mio should drop the ladder for you to access the story.
- Train Heist – The first Side Story in Chapter 3, found in the Lord Evergreen section. Navigate the water with a plank of wood, and reach a ledge by wall running with Mio and Zoe.
- Gameshow – In Chapter 3’s Walking Sticks of Doom section, find this Side Story on a platform post the side-scrolling segment, requiring some minor platforming to reach.
- Collapsing Star – The final Side Story in Chapter 3, located in the Halls of Ice section. It's on the main path and impossible to miss.
- Kites – In Chapter 4’s Toxic Tumblers section, you'll find this at the end of the long tube.
- Moon Market – Located in the Test Chamber section of Chapter 4. After opening the door following the crane sequence, reach a ledge to the left via platforming.
- Notebook – The last Side Story in Chapter 4, found in the Soaring Desperados section. After getting the jetpack, hover over to the left side of the room, avoiding the giant wheel.
- Slopes of War – The first Side Story in Chapter 5, located in the Water Temple section. After hatching your dragons, solve the lever puzzle on the left post the golden balls to unlock it.
- Space Escape – The penultimate Side Story in Chapter 5’s Craft Temple section. Post defeating the dragon, launch Mio to a ledge using her glide and Zoe’s roll, then have Mio drop a column for Zoe to climb.
- Birthday Cake – The final Side Story in *Split Fiction*, found in Chapter 5’s Treasure Temple section. Complete the soul puzzle, and it will be on your left.
