Stellar Mercenaries has just launched its thrilling Jupiter Expansion, nearly doubling the game's content and bringing the action to the largest planet in our solar system. If you're new to the game, Stellar Mercenaries is a dynamic vertical-scrolling action arcade space shooter where you can engage in procedurally generated missions, customize your ships and weapons, and rise to become the most feared mercenary in the solar system.
What’s New in the Jupiter Expansion of Stellar Mercenaries?
The Jupiter Expansion transforms Jupiter and its moons into new battlegrounds. Ganymede presents a barren wasteland, Io is engulfed in volcanic debris, Europa is a frozen, treacherous landscape, and Jupiter itself is a storm-ridden arena. This expansion introduces two new factions: the formidable Jovian Empire, aiming to dominate the region, and the chaotic Pirate Council, an alliance of outlaws.
With the expansion, players can dive into 50 new missions with varied objectives. From hyperspace hunting to track down elusive targets, to piracy, escort, and train defense missions, there's plenty to keep you engaged. The update also adds six new ships to your fleet: the Raider, Goblin, Mako, Boxer, Lightning, and Skybreaker. Additionally, you can arm yourself with new weapons like the Hyper Velocity Mortar, Plasma Seeker, EMP Rockets, Mauler Cannon, Electron Beam, and Neutron Beam.
There Are New Hazards, Shields and More
The expansion doesn't stop at new missions and ships. It introduces Tier 4 shields and armor, enhancing your defensive capabilities. New hazards await, including navigating through asteroid fields, facing elite enemy squadrons, and confronting the formidable Pacifier. Some enemy mercenaries have also leveled up, with new classes like Nightmare, Riot, and Warhawk adding to the challenge.
To enrich your gaming experience further, the Jupiter Expansion includes 14 new music tracks and a new side missions system. Dive into Stellar Mercenaries on the Google Play Store to explore all these exciting additions!
