New Pokémon in Pokémon Sleep: Sneasel and Weavile!

Pokémon fans rejoice! Sneasel and Weavile have arrived in Pokémon Sleep, bringing exciting new additions to your sleep research. This guide explains how to befriend these icy, dark-type Pokémon.

Where to Find Sneasel and Weavile

As you might expect from their dual Ice/Dark typing in the main series games, Sneasel and Weavile appear in Pokémon Sleep's Snowdrop Tundra. However, they are classified as Dark-type in this game. Conveniently, they also appear on Greengrass Isle, making them accessible to all players regardless of their research island progress. Use an EZ Travel Ticket to change islands if needed.

Sleep Types and Evolution

Both Sneasel and Weavile share the Dozing sleep type. Maximizing your chances of encountering them requires a Dozing sleep type for the night. Sneasel is easier to find initially and evolves into Weavile using 80 Sneasel Candy and a Razor Claw. However, you'll still need to encounter Weavile in the wild for research data.

Are They Worth It?

Sneasel's value lies in its berry-gathering abilities (Wiki Berries) and its "Tasty Chance S" skill, boosting dish quality. Its ingredient requirements include sought-after items, making a well-equipped Sneasel a valuable asset to your Snowdrop Tundra team.

Sneasel Debut Bundle

For a guaranteed Sneasel during its initial week, consider the "Pokémon Befriending Bundle (Sneasel) Vol. 1." Available in the Pokémon Sleep store from December 3rd to 9th, 2024, for 1,500 Gems, it includes biscuits, 2 Sneasel Incense (guaranteeing an encounter on appropriate islands), and 60 Sneasel Candy.
