Skate Playtest Now Available on Consoles!

Exciting news for console gamers! The highly anticipated skateboarding game, skate., is now available for playtesting on Xbox and PlayStation consoles. This marks a significant step forward for the game, previously only accessible to PC players through the skate. Insider program.

After a long wait since Skate 3 in 2010, the Skate franchise is back. The persistent demand from fans, fueled by the #Skate4 hashtag, finally led EA to establish a dedicated studio and revive the series. While early access is slated for 2025, this console playtest brings the release closer.

The skate. team announced the console playtest via Twitter, inviting players to join the Insider program. A recent video from the developers confirmed more Black hairstyle options and playfully addressed the "Fall 2024" playtest announcement delay.

skate. is confirmed as a free-to-play, live-service title set in the fictional city of San Vansterdam, a dynamic location inspired by various real-world and previous Skate game cities.
