The Sims franchise is turning 25, and Electronic Arts is showering players with gifts! From its humble beginnings as a SimCity offshoot to the narrative-driven game it is today, The Sims has touched countless lives.
The Sims 25th Anniversary Celebration:
To mark its 25th anniversary, The Sims is giving away 25 free gifts over 25 days. However, players must log in daily to claim their rewards, as each gift is only available for a single day. This massive celebration, running until the end of February 2025, includes updates, re-releases, in-game events, and brand new content across the entire Sims franchise.
The Sims Mobile is also joining the festivities, offering two free gifts to players who log in during its birthday week, commencing March 4th. Furthermore, EA has partnered with Spotify to curate a special Sims playlist featuring iconic tracks from the series' history.
A Nostalgic Trip Down Memory Lane:
The Sims FreePlay is taking players on a trip back to the 2000s! To commemorate 25 years of The Sims, FreePlay is releasing content reminiscent of the era: chunky flip phones, frosted tips, and velour tracksuits.
Two new live events, "The One with the Coffee Shop" and "Reality Island," offer a nostalgic experience. A Social Town update introduces new homes, a helicopter, and a museum showcasing FreePlay's history.
