Quick Links

In Freedom Wars Remastered, reducing your million-year prison sentence is paramount, but equally important is increasing your CODE level to simplify the sinner's life. A higher CODE level unlocks more Entitlements, improving gameplay by enhancing features like sprinting duration and upgrading equipment and comrades for easier Abductor combat. Let's explore the CODE level system.

How Many CODE Levels Are There in Freedom Wars Remastered?

Freedom Wars Remastered features a total of eight CODE levels. Progression is linear; you cannot decrease your CODE level. Each level grants access to new Entitlements and operations.

How to Increase Your CODE Level in Freedom Wars Remastered

To check CODE upgrade requirements, speak to your Accessory in your cell and select "Check CODE Upgrade Conditions." This usually involves reaching a specific year milestone in your sentence and unlocking certain Entitlements. Consult this menu frequently before spending Entitlement Points; donating high-value resources or weapons can provide sufficient points for multiple Entitlements.

Meeting the listed conditions is essential for CODE rank-ups, but your CODE level is also intrinsically linked to the main storyline. Completing main story missions and operations, alongside fulfilling the upgrade conditions, is necessary to pass the CODE exam (a story component). Sometimes, the main story itself serves as the CODE exam for the next level.

Operations are categorized by CODE level, indicating difficulty. Most operations are completed during story progression, but additional optional operations may become available to assist players who might need extra preparation before tackling their new CODE level's missions.
