The first wave of 2025 pre-built gaming PCs featuring the new Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 and 5090 graphics cards is now available. Major retailers like Best Buy, Amazon, Newegg, Adorama, and B&H Photo have new listings. This is your best chance to snag a system with one of these GPUs before major OEMs like Dell (Alienware), HP (Omen), and Lenovo (Legion) release their own later in Q1.
If you're seeking a standalone GPU, please refer to our RTX 5090 and 5080 preorder guide. Be aware that launch-day GPU stock often sells out rapidly, and retailers have already warned of limited inventory due to potential bot-driven bulk purchases for resale at inflated prices.

The Redesigned Alienware Area-51 Chassis
Dell's CES 2025 unveiling showcased the new Alienware Area-51. This iteration features subtle aesthetic and cooling improvements, updated components, and a top-mounted I/O panel. The full-side tempered glass window replaces smaller cutouts, resulting in bottom and front air intakes and a positive airflow design for reduced dust accumulation. OEMs (Dell, HP, Lenovo)
Larger OEMs will release their RTX 50-series equipped PCs later in the year. Dell showcased the Alienware Area-51 at CES 2025, expected in Q1. HP's Omen 45L may offer RTX 5090/5080 options potentially in mid-to-late February. Lenovo's Legion Tower release date is currently unannounced.
IGN's RTX 5090/5080 Reviews
IGN's reviews highlight the improved AI features (DLSS 4) over raw rasterization performance. While offering a modest performance increase, the value proposition compared to the RTX 40-series is debated. DLSS 4 significantly boosts frame rates in supported games, but a substantial portion of frames are AI-generated.
