Pokemon GO Leak Hints at New Adventure Effects for Black and White Kyurem
A recent leak suggests exciting new additions to Pokémon GO with the arrival of Black and White Kyurem in early March 2025. These Legendary Pokémon, resulting from Kyurem's fusion with Zekrom or Reshiram, are finally making their in-game debut during the GO Tour: Unova event (March 1st and 2nd). The leak, originating from Pokeminers, reveals two new Adventure Effects:
-
White Kyurem's Ice Burn: This effect temporarily slows down the target ring during Pokémon encounters, significantly improving the chances of landing Great or Excellent throws.
-
Black Kyurem's Freeze Shock: This effect temporarily paralyzes the encountered Pokémon, preventing it from fending off Poké Balls or moving during capture attempts.
These Adventure Effects promise to be invaluable tools for catching even the most elusive Pokémon.
More than just new effects:
The leak also mentions a new item: the "Lucky Trinket." This item allows players to instantly become Lucky Friends with another player, provided they are already Great Friends or better. While the effect is temporary (lasting only a few hours), it offers a significant advantage, as achieving Lucky Friend status is typically rare, even for long-time Best Friends.
Other upcoming events:
While the GO Tour: Unova event is still some time off, players can look forward to the Corviknight evolution line arriving on January 21st during the Steely Resolve event. Five-star raids featuring Deoxys and Dialga will also be available. Finally, Dynamax versions of the Legendary Bird Trio will appear in Max Raids from January 20th to February 3rd.
In short: The upcoming GO Tour: Unova event is shaping up to be a major update for Pokémon GO, bringing not only Black and White Kyurem but also potentially game-changing Adventure Effects and a convenient new item.
