Author : Savannah Jan 18,2025

Get ready for festive fun in Pokémon Go! Niantic's Holiday Part One event is arriving soon, bringing a flurry of seasonal surprises from December 17th to 22nd. This event is packed with bonuses, special Pokémon encounters, and exciting challenges.

Double XP awaits for every Pokémon catch, and Eggs will hatch at half the usual distance. A new costumed Dedenne, sporting its holiday best, makes its debut, with a chance to snag a shiny variant. Shiny Sandygast also makes its first appearance!

Prepare for festive encounters in the wild, including Alolan Sandshrew, Swinub, and Darumaka. Raids will feature a holiday-themed roster: one-star raids bring Winter Carnival Pikachu and holiday Psyduck; three-star raids offer Undersea Holiday Glaceon and Cryogonal; and Mega Latias and Mega Latios take center stage in Mega Raids.

ytSeven-kilometer Eggs hold the possibility of hatching Hisuian Growlithe or a holiday-ribbon-adorned Cubchoo. Earn rewards through event-themed Field Research tasks and a $2.00 Timed Research offering themed Pokémon encounters, Premium Battle Passes, and more.

Collection Challenges return, rewarding Stardust, Poké Balls, and Great Balls for catching and raiding. Don't miss the PokéStop Showcases to display your decked-out Pokémon! Plus, claim some free goodies by redeeming available Pokémon Go codes.

The Pokémon Go Web Store features two limited-time offers: the Ultra Holiday Box ($4.99) includes Pokémon Storage and Item Bag upgrades, plus 17 Rare Candies; and the Holiday Part 1 Ultra Ticket Box ($6.99) grants access to Holiday events and a Premium Battle Pass. Stock up on supplies now!
