Netflix Unveils Live-Action 'Dungeons & Dragons' Series

Netflix is developing a live-action Dungeons & Dragons series based on the Forgotten Realms setting, according to Deadline. The project, one of Netflix's largest fantasy investments, will be helmed by Shawn Levy (Deadpool, Wolverine), with Drew Crevello (WeCrashed) as writer and showrunner. This marks a significant step for Netflix in the fantasy genre and could potentially launch a broader D&D universe. While the pilot is reportedly written, Netflix and Hasbro have yet to confirm the news officially. The series follows the success of the film Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves and the popular video game Baldur's Gate 3, both set in the Forgotten Realms.
