Activist groups have targeted Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 following the discovery of subpoenas within the game, sparking a campaign to cancel the project.
The controversy gained traction after online discussions regarding the game's ban in Saudi Arabia fueled speculation about its content and alleged "progressive" themes. This led to attacks on the developers across social media platforms, with calls to boycott Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 and discourage support for the studio.
Warhorse Studios' PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, responded to the allegations, urging the public to rely on official statements and avoid unverified online information.
Stolz-Zwilling confirmed that review codes would be distributed in the coming days, following the game's completion in early December. These codes are expected to be released approximately four weeks prior to launch, allowing streamers and reviewers ample time to prepare their content.
Interestingly, initial "final previews," based on sections of the review build, are anticipated just a week after code distribution.
