Unraveling the Mystery of "Bad Blood" in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 offers a wealth of side quests, many enriching the game's narrative and character development. This guide details how to initiate and complete the "Bad Blood" quest.
Starting the Quest:
After gaining open-world access in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, progress through the quest involving finding Mutt. This leads you to a clearing near Bozhena's hut. Inquire with Bozhena about Mutt; she'll reveal her daughter Pavlena's disappearance. Agreeing to help triggers the "Bad Blood" quest.
Gathering Information:
-
Troskowitz Investigation: Speak with Bailiff Thrush and Innkeeper Betty in Troskowitz to gather information about Bozhena and Pavlena, uncovering the reasons for their ostracization.
-
Woodcutter Clues: Locate Woodcutter Dushko. He'll direct you to Roman's house (requires lockpicking). Examine Pavlena's basket inside.
-
The Clearing: Dushko will then lead you to a clearing, a favorite spot for Roman and Pavlena. Follow the blood trail to discover Roman's body. Speak with Hogerd Hugo and Hired Hand Straw (requires a successful dialogue check with Straw to learn about Jakesh and the events leading to Roman's death).
-
Informing Thrush: Update Thrush on your findings regarding Straw.
-
Zhelejov Investigation: Proceed to the rocks south of Zhelejov to continue the investigation.
Confronting Ota:
Navigate around the large boulder to find a path leading to a ladder. At the top, you'll encounter Ota and Pavlena. High Charisma is beneficial for dialogue checks. Convincing Ota to release Pavlena involves selecting dialogue options such as: "What's your name?", "Let her go and I'll let you go.", and "I'll put in a good word for you with His Lordship." Pavlena will subsequently kill Ota. Return to Bozhena with Pavlena.
Choosing Your Path: Kill or Make Peace?
The quest culminates with a choice: kill Jakesh or broker peace. Find Jakesh at his child's grave. Killing him lowers your reputation in Troskowitz but raises it with Bozhena and Pavlena, unlocking additional dialogue with Pavlena and rewarding you with a necklace. Choosing peace results in a 100 groschen reward from Jakesh (you can keep it or share it with Bozhena), and Bozhena and Pavlena are reinstated into the settlement.
Consequences of Your Actions:
The decision to kill or spare Jakesh significantly impacts your reputation and relationships within the game world. Consider the ramifications before making your choice. This concludes the "Bad Blood" quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Consult other resources for additional tips and information on the game.
