InZOI will feature ghosts, an afterlife, and a karma system

Author : Ethan Feb 28,2025

InZOI's Game Director, Hyungjun "KJoon" Kim, has revealed intriguing details about the game's paranormal elements. Players will gain limited control over ghosts, a mechanic interwoven with a karma system that tracks character actions and impacts their lives, even after death.

A character's karma determines their afterlife fate: peaceful transition or a ghostly existence among the living. Ghosts must accrue missing karma points to finally move on.

While ghosts are present in InZOI's early access, player control is a future addition. The developer assures that InZOI prioritizes realistic gameplay, keeping paranormal elements subtle. Future updates, however, may introduce additional unexplained phenomena.
