Official Synopsis:
Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey is a sweeping action epic, filmed globally using cutting-edge IMAX film technology. This marks the first time Homer's seminal tale will grace IMAX screens, arriving in theaters worldwide on July 17, 2026.
The film chronicles Odysseus's arduous ten-year journey home to Ithaca after the Trojan War. While Universal remains tight-lipped on further details, early reports suggest an impressive ensemble cast.
Matt Damon, who was among the first actors rumored for the project, reunites with Universal after his acclaimed role in Oppenheimer, a seven-time Academy Award winner (including Best Picture and Best Director). Speculation points to a star-studded lineup alongside Damon, potentially including Charlize Theron, Tom Holland, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong'o, and Robert Pattinson.
