Once Human launches cross-test platform for mobile and PC as it heads towards launch

Author : Aiden Mar 17,2025

NetEase's post-apocalyptic shooter, Once Human, is launching its first cross-play test today! This closed beta offers a sneak peek at the cross-progression features launching with the mobile version in April, allowing players to seamlessly switch between devices.

Once Human plunges players into a supernatural apocalypse where scattered humanity must unite to survive. The game tasks players with rebuilding society while battling monstrous creatures and navigating the treacherous landscape, even facing potential threats from fellow survivors.

The game's blend of stunning visuals and intense run-and-gun horror gameplay has generated significant anticipation. While previous beta tests focused on core gameplay, this cross-play test highlights a key feature: seamless cross-progression. This is likely the last chance for players to experience Once Human before its April launch.

More Human Than Human

The cross-play test runs until March 30th, with sign-ups still open. While Once Human might not have captured the same PC audience as NetEase's Marvel Rivals, its stylish shooter mechanics seem perfectly suited for mobile platforms. The upcoming mobile launch is excellent news for players eager to experience this unique title.
