Bob's Technotavern Gets an Upgrade: Season 9 resets ratings and bids farewell to Trinkets, replacing them with new Battlegrounds Tokens. These tokens allow you to reroll your hero choice at the selection screen – perfect for escaping undesirable options.

Staggered Minion and Hero Reveals: The new season's reveals are spread out over several days, building anticipation:
- November 20th: Naga and Dragon reveals.
- November 21st: Quilboar and Beast reveals.
- November 22nd: Pirate and Duos-only reveals.
- November 25th: Murloc and Demon reveals.
- November 26th: Elemental and Undead reveals.
- December 2nd: Preview event streams and 31.2 patch notes.

New Heroes and Minions: Three brand-new heroes join the fray, with Farseer Nobundo already generating considerable buzz. Nearly 90 minions and Tavern spells are either entering or leaving the pool, ensuring a dynamic meta.

Solo Battlegrounds Damage Cap Adjustment: A new damage cap is implemented in solo games only: 5 damage early game, increasing to 10 on turn 4 and 15 on turn 8. The cap is removed once you reach the top 4.

Phased Minion Release: The patch launches with Beasts, Dragons, Quilboar, Pirates, Naga, and Mechs on December 3rd. Murlocs and Demons arrive on December 5th, followed by Undead and Elementals on December 9th.
