In a recent update from Rebel Wolves, developers of the vampire RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker, we get a closer look at Swartrow, the isolated capital of Sangor Valley. The game's strong emphasis on silver is highlighted, explaining the seemingly illogical choice of this remote location for a human settlement.

Swartrow's imposing cathedral and Graifberg Castle, perched dramatically atop cliffs, immediately command attention. Their presence in such an isolated area, miles from any other settlement, begs the question: why here?
The answer, simply put, is silver. The mountains surrounding Swartrow are rich with silver veins, attracting settlers like a beacon. The landscape is scarred with mine entrances, the constant clang of pickaxes a relentless soundtrack to life in the valley.
Graifberg Castle, prominently featured in the opening moments of the January 2025 trailer, appears to hold significant importance. The update confirms the lucrative silver mining industry as the primary reason for Swartrow's existence. Interestingly, local folklore suggests silver offers protection against vampires, making it both a valuable resource and a crucial weapon in this dark world.
While Rebel Wolves hasn't revealed a release date, The Blood of Dawnwalker is slated for release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
