New Gunblade, Bridge Map Unveiled in Latest Rivals Update

Author : George Feb 20,2025

Roblox's Rivals FPS experience receives Update 9, introducing the Gunblade and Bridge map. Developer Nosniy Games' patch notes highlight these additions, alongside minor cosmetic changes, prioritizing the new content over bug fixes or balance adjustments for this iteration.

The Gunblade, a versatile weapon combining rifle and blade functionality, is a significant addition to the arsenal. Its effectiveness is expected to be particularly pronounced on the new Bridge map, a close-quarters combat arena set in Seoul, created by @GreatGuyBoom.

Rivals Update 9 introduces the Gunblade to the Roblox FPS experience.
Update 9 features a new set of challenges replacing the Winter Spotlight, offering keys and a limited-time Bungeoppang charm as rewards for completing tasks on the Bridge map. Minor adjustments were made to Demon Shorty and Demon Uzi skins, and several Hexxed-themed items were renamed to Vexed.

Nosniy Games explicitly stated that bug fixes and balance changes were omitted from this update to focus on the new map and weapon, assuring players that these improvements will be included in the upcoming major update, which will finally introduce the highly anticipated Ranked mode. The developers emphasized their commitment to player feedback, promising necessary adjustments in time for the Ranked launch.

This follows a pattern of regular updates since the game's May launch, such as Update 7 which introduced the Energy Rifle, Energy Pistols, and Crossbow. For more on Rivals, including active codes, click here.
