Genshin Impact's Shuyu's Baffling Beetle Battle Bowl: A Complete Guide to Victory
Shuyu's Baffling Beetle Battle Bowl is a limited-time event in Genshin Impact Version 5.3, challenging players to beetle battles. This guide provides a straightforward walkthrough for conquering all five battles.
Event Requirements:
To participate, you must meet these criteria:
- Adventure Rank 20 or higher.
- Completion of the Mondstadt Archon Quest Prologue. While not mandatory, completing Xianyun's Story Quest "Grus Serena Chapter" provides valuable context, as Shuyu is a character featured within.
Gameplay Mechanics:
The event is simple: use an Onikabuto beetle in simulated battles (within your Serenitea Pot at Mt. Aocang) against various enemies. Control your beetle using forward, backward, and jump commands. Mastering timing and stamina management is key, as movement and attacks consume stamina. Stronger attacks, like Piercing Strikes (hold the attack button), require more stamina.
Battle Strategies:
Here's a breakdown of each battle and effective strategies:
-
Staff Master (Basic Horizontal Sweeps): A regular Hilichurl. Focus attacks on its head, and watch for ground indicators to dodge attacks.
-
Staff Master (Torch-Wielding): A Hilichurl Berserker with a Pyro Slime. Its slow movement makes it an easy target. Prioritize attacks to its head and the Pyro Slime, particularly when it prepares to throw it.
-
Mumbly-Bumbly Red-Hot Mage: A Pyro Abyss Mage. This enemy is more challenging, utilizing fireballs and flame pillars. Interrupt its casting animations to minimize damage, then unleash a series of attacks.
-
Bouncy, Energetic Freezing Mage: A Cryo Abyss Mage. Use the same strategy as the Pyro Abyss Mage.
-
Mini Mountain Big Guy: A Stonehide Lawachurl. This battle requires speed and awareness of its attacks. Continuously attack it until a Geo Slime appears; then use a Piercing Strike on the slime for significant damage.
Difficulty and Rewards:
Choose the "Focused Fight" (two-star) difficulty for optimal Primogem rewards (30 and 20 Primogems per stage). "Utmost Might" (three-star) unlocks after clearing "Focused Fight," offering Mora and Enhancement Ores but no Primogems. Utilize Piercing Strikes strategically for faster victories.
The "Dossier on Opponent" provides helpful insights into enemy behavior if you need assistance. A co-op mode is available; select "Match" to team up with other players.
Total rewards for completing the event on Utmost Might difficulty reach 420 Primogems, alongside Hero's Wit, Sanctifying Unction, Mora, and Mystic Enhancement Ore.
The event concludes on January 13, 2025, at 03:59 server time. Don't miss out on these valuable rewards! Genshin Impact is available now.
